The Journey of Four Faiths – 12 Day Tour

The Journey of the Four Faiths will demonstrate the origins of the island’s major religions and their coexistence through shared festivals, daily interaction, and long standing mutual respect. Temples, churches, mosques, and Kovils stand side by side across the island, reflecting Sri Lanka’s enduring culture of religious diversity.

Buddhism has shaped Sri Lanka since the 3rd century BCE, influencing the island’s cultural values, art, and daily life.

Hinduism arrived through South Indian connections, adding vibrant rituals, rich mythology, and distinctive kovils to the local spiritual landscape.

Islam spread through Arab traders from the 7th century onwards, forming coastal communities known for their hospitality, trade, and religious scholarship.

Christianity was introduced by the Portuguese, Dutch, and British, bringing new architectural styles, traditions, and global links.
