BEFORE YOU TRAVEL   

  • All nationalities are required to obtain a visa to visit Sri Lanka (exemptions maybe declared time-to-time for certain nationalities subject to government legislation).

  • Visit https://eta.gov.lk/slvisa/ to apply visa (please make sure all information you feed is accurate).

  • Upload the required documents, including a scanned copy of your passport, a recent photograph.

  • The scanned copy of the passport needs only to be of the bio page

  • The photo needs to be a colour photo with a white background, sized 3.5 x 4.5 cm (413 x 531 pixels).

  • Visa approvals are reviewed and usually approved within 24 hours during normal business hours.

  • With effect from 15 October 2025, all travellers visiting Sri Lanka for short-stay purposes (tourism or business) are required to obtain an Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) via the official website www.eta.gov.lk.

    1. As per reciprocal/bilateral arrangements, passport holders of Seychelles, Maldives and Singapore shall be exempted from ETA fees for tourism purposes.

    2. Passport holders of the People's Republic of China, India, Russia, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia and Japan will also be eligible to obtain the ETA free of charge for tourism purposes, as per existing regulations.

    3. The stipulated fee will be applicable to passport holders from all other countries and to those applying ETA under business category.             

 

RECALL TERMS          

  • Bookings 100% cancellation charge – 60 days or less prior to arrival.

  • Bookings no cancellation charge – 61 days or more prior to arrival.

 

HOW TO BOOK       

  • To confirm your journey with us we would require a 50% advance payment within 7 days from the date the invoice has been shared (refundable up to 61 days prior to your confirmed Itinerary start date only).

  • 50% balance amount to be paid 60 days prior to arrival.

      

THINGS TO NOTE          

  •  Lanka Destinations’ itinerary is designed by Lanka Destinations travel architects and our collaborative affiliates and has sole right to revise any aesthetical aspect to improve the reader’s experience.              

  • As of the date this itinerary is shared, no rooms at any suggested accommodation will be held or reserved tentatively for guests unless requested for.

  • Room availability at suggested accommodation will strictly depend upon the day of confirming of the booking.

  • In the event of not having the quoted rooms at any suggested accommodation, team Lanka Destinations will either propose a room category change at the same property (strictly depending on availability) or propose a similar alternative accommodation.

  • Standard check-in time would be 1400hrs and standard check-out time would be 1100hrs.

  • If an early arrival is anticipated and you wish to have immediate access to your room on arrival, it is best to pre-book accommodation, as we do not recommend leaving this at the discretion of the property management based on availability.

  • If a late departure is anticipated and you wish to have your room available until your departure, it is best to secure the room for an additional night, as we do not recommend leaving this at the discretion of the property management based on availability.

  • Ground travelling times and distances mentioned in the itinerary are solely an estimation; therefore, such information can vary in actuality due to uncontrollable circumstances such as traffic, extreme weather conditions, road development projects, etc.

  • Lanka Destinations highly encourages all of our travellers to only obtain the assistance and services of the allocated Chauffeur Guide or National Guide throughout their holiday. This avoids misleads and miscommunications, safety, security, traceability and accountability. 

  • We recommend that you discuss any special requirements such as adjacent or connecting rooms, types of beds, smoking or non-smoking rooms, rooms with views, any special dietary needs with us at the preliminary stages of the booking process. We will be happy to coordinate details with each property on your behalf. There could be instances that properties may not be able to accommodate specific requirements.

  • Lanka Destinations encourages all guests to wear comfortable and simple attire that covers shoulders and knees, whilst visiting religious sites (such as Temples, Kovils, Churches, Mosques) as a gesture of respect for the diversified culture (white or light colors preferred).

  • Visitors should remove hats, caps and footwear when entering religious sites (as specified above).
